I can’t recommend this spot enough! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying juicy and flavourful on the inside. You can tell it’s cooked fresh to order. The seasoning has just the right balance of spice and the sides were just as good (the chips were crunchy and the coleslaw was super fresh). The staff were welcoming and made the whole experience even better. Service was quick, portions were generous, and everything came out piping hot. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Absolutely astounding spot. As an American, finding good Nashville style chicken is not easy! But Newy Fried Chicken fit the bill. I had the Animal Style burger and it was hands down the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in Australia. The Tenders box with Sunday sauce and honey mustard was also just some of the best tasting Nashville style tenders I’ve had outside of the US. Nick, the owner was super friendly and passionate and made it feel welcoming and easy. The aesthetic and vibe matched the food wonderfully and the cocktails were easy to drink and to love. No notes for improvement. Just an incredible spot.
Chicken from here is always at its best no matter what spice level you decide on, Decided on a boujee bucket and got a mix of spice levels, hit spot on, highly recommend the tender sauce as this makes it just mwah! Could of done with more sauce tho as I thought 2 would had been plenty, Wait times were as expected for a small restaurant that has quite a few people ordering at the same time, food worth the wait if you want that spice that you can’t find elsewhere Definitely be eating from here more often, Customer service was friendly and polite and attended to customers upon entry Well done newy fried chicken!
10/10 Fried chicken, I’ve been around the world and this place is up there with the best. Friendly staff and a banging menu. Definitely coming back to try more. Hot tip, book ahead or get there early. It’s cooked to serve so don’t be expecting KFC fast. Good things take time and it’s worth it
Lovely experience and will definitely be going back in the future. The staff were all so lovely and the food was phenomenal! Well priced also. 9.5/10 and the only reason I take .5 off is because it did take a couple laps around the block to find a park and the food took 60-90 minutes to arrive, HOWEVER, they were quite busy with online orders, it was midday on a friday, and there were a couple bigger groups who had already ordered before us also dining in; so it was 100% understandable that it took a little longer. In saying that it was WELL worth the wait. The food was so good hubby couldn't even wait for a photo! 🥰😁

Dined in at Broadmeadow. First time there with my Daughter and Son in law. Best chicken we have had. Not only was the food great but the Service was absolutely amazing. Brandi’s personality and enthusiasm is the best I’ve seen. Thankyou so much for helping us with the menu. We will be back there for sure.

I highly recommend checking out their dine in restaurant on Darby street, it’s the latest and greatest on what this superb part of Newcastle has to offer with an exciting, flavourful menu made up of some of the best Southern styled fried chicken. From their sublime chicken burgers (sandos), to their uniquely savoury fries, to their stand alone chicken pieces of crispy tenders, succulent wings, delectable juicy thigh pieces, and every other perfect mixer. From their Mac & Cheese to their exciting secret menu (shhhh not supposed to tell), this fried chicken is unlike any other in Newcastle or even dare I say New South whales for that matter it’s better than all of them. If you are ever in Newcastle, come by Newy Fried Chicken and this small city will make a big impact :)
We had a good experience on our 1st visit. Their burger chicken is real chicken, not the processed type, and bun taste like brioche. If you'll order chicken wings or tenders, make sure to add sauce as its not as tastt on its own, or simply request for their special salt. The best part of this resto is the staff - friendly and professional. Big plus on their clean toilet. We'll definitely go to their new branch in Darby when it opens.
